Overview
Known to be one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world, Bhitarkanika wetlands are home to loads of species of animals and plants. Having Gahirmatha Beach on one side and marine sanctuary on its east, this place makes sure that everyone who visits here enjoys the best of untamed nature.
The first day of this Bhitarkanika tour will start by reaching your comfy stay nestled amidst the lush green landscape. Due to its location, this stay will let you enjoy the beautiful view of thick green vegetation and wildlife. On this day, you will be covering three prominent areas - Kalibhanja Doha, Dhamara Port and Dhamarai temple. All these places can only be reached by taking a cruise, thus will surely offer the required thrill. The day will end by entering back to your stay and resting overnight.
Day two ofthe Bhitarkanika tour will provide you with an opportunity to enjoy the sandy beach of Ekakula. If lucky enough, you might get a chance to witness olive turtles laying their eggs on the shore. The whole day will be spent enjoying along the beach and having flavorsome food, followed by reaching back to your beautiful stay.
On the third day of the Bhitarkanika tour package, you will get to witness the wilderness as you step into the Bhitarkanika wildlife sanctuary. Visit various spots like the crocodile spot and bird sanctuaries followed by trekking towards the hunting tower, which was used by the ancient kings. The whole day will be spent enjoying the natural beauty accompanied by having tasty dinner at your stay.
The last day of this trip will make sure that you do not miss a bit of Bhitarkanika and will offer you a chance to enjoy breakfast on a boat. The tour will end as you reach back to Jayanagar Jetty, from where you can proceed back to your homes.
Itinerary
Day 1 : (Orissa)
Arrival at Bhitarkanika
Bhitarkanika tour commences as you arrive at Jayanagar jetty, from where you will be boarding a boat to Khola-Jungle resort, a resort set amidst the thick vegetation and wildlife.
As you reach, check-in at the resort and have lunch, after lunch take a cruise to Kalibhanja Diha, Dhamara Port and Dhamarai temple.
After the visit, head back to the Khola-Jungle resort for dinner and night stay as the first day of your Bhitarkanika tour package ends here.
Day 2 : (Orissa)
Day out at Ekakula Beach
Wake up early in the morning and take a boat to Ekakula beach for the second day of your Bhitarkanika tour package.
Spend the day on this Island, here you will get to see Olive turtles and other rare species. You can sit back at the beach, getting sun-tanned or take a dip in the ocean.
Breakfast and lunch will be served on the beach itself.
Head back to the Khola-jungle resort for overnight stay.
Day 3 : (Orissa)
Bhitarkanika National Park
After breakfast, start your Bhitarkanika national park tour by visiting different crocodile spots.
Visit the bird sanctuaries and later trek to the hunting tower of the ancient king. Apart from Crocodiles ,you will witness to king cobra, black ibis, darters,wild boars, water monitor lizards and many other species of flora and fauna
Take a break for lunch and post lunch, go to visit the crocodile breeding center and the Museum.
After spending a full day in the jungle, return to your resort for dinner and overnight stay.
